Re-envisioning Surf Classics with Purposeful Materials
Our Future Currents VR3 collection is a nod to the waves that bridge generations and the deep connections we forge when spending time in nature. When it comes to building a more sustainable world that we can all share, we believe that “the future starts today.” Taking design inspiration from ocean waves, natural surface patterns, and Zen gardens, the Future Currents Authentic VR3 SF combines our sustainability-conscious low top shoe with a fluid embossed pattern and intentional tonal prints. The calming palette seems to come to life on suede uppers, furthering the connection to nature and Vans’ goal to help preserve our world for future generations.
Our team has set ambitious sustainability goals. Big or small, all of our efforts add up to positive change. To earn the VR3 Checkerboard globe logo, at least 30% of the product must be made up of one or a combination of recycled, renewable, and/or regenerative materials.
PRODUCT FEATURES
- UPPER MATERIAL: Contains suede and fabric made with 100% US cotton from farmers using agricultural practices that can help improve a soil’s ability to absorb carbon. Vans leather products support responsible manufacturing via the Leather Working Group.
- FOOTBED: The VR3Cush™ footbed is made using at least 25% biobased EVA foam partially derived from plants per the ASTM D6866-16 testing standard.
- OUTSOLE: All of the rubber used to make this outsole (60% of the compound) is regeneratively grown natural rubber sourced from farms utilizing agricultural practices that are intended to promote biodiversity, enhance water cycles, improve soil health and/or sequester carbon. This natural rubber compound was developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability Vans is known for (since 66).

Items that were purchased need to be returned in the same, "sellable" condition as when originally purchased. i.e: not washed, not worn, not damaged, and with all original tags and accessories attached.

ALL RETURNS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- Product must be returned within 14 days of you receiving your order.
- Product must not be worn, altered, damaged, or washed.
- Merchandise must have all tags and accessories attached.
- Footwear must include the original shoe box, in its original condition.
- When an item is returned, shipping charges are not refunded. You are responsible for the costs of shipping any item back to the shop.
